Providence Housing Development Corp., a diocesan affiliate, is accepting rental applications Friday, March 14, through Friday, April 11, for Olean Heights, the third phase of the Olean-Kennedy Revitalization Project.
Olean Heights includes 32 three-, four- and five-bedroom, single-family homes and attached single-family homes at scattered sites in the Plymouth-Exchange neighborhood and on Fulton Avenue in the City of Rochester. Thirty-one of the homes are new construction, which fill vacant city lots, and one home is renovated.
All units feature full basements, washer/dryer hookups, front and back porches, paved off-street parking, play space and landscaping, and are close to public transportation. Two of the homes will be wheelchair accessible, and one will be adapted for the visually or hearing impaired. All tenants will have access to the Carlson Commons Community Center at 70 Coretta Scott Crossing.
To be considered for the lottery, rental applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Carlson Commons, 70 Coretta Street Crossing, Rochester, NY 14608. Applications may be obtained at Carlson Commons or by calling 585-436-4040.
Applicants will be placed on a waiting list in an order determined by a random lottery, and then will be contacted in priority order to determine eligibility.
The units will be ready for occupancy in the summer of 2008 and into the spring of 2009.
