'Occupy' is a mixed bag

To the editor:

The November column "Teachings back movement" by Tony Magliano presented a mixed message.

While some of the protestors in the occupy Wall Street movement voiced legitimate grievances, others are destroying public and private property.

Unfortunately we have a president who has encouraged these protests as a possible way to garner votes for next year’s election.

Yet his energy policy of no drilling and supporting so called green energy sources like Solyndra, now bankrupt, has economic repercussions.

It is clearly confident that we need new leadership that is pro-life and morally sound. Hopefully Catholics will see the reason for change.
