September 2011’s winner was Ivana Irene Pierce, 8, a student at St. Joseph School in Auburn. In response to Why do you think being willing to forgive is such an important part of being a Christian? Ivana wrote: "I think that being willing to forgive is so important to me as a Christian because it is exactly what Jesus did as he was being tortured to death. He asked God his Father to forgive the people who did that to him. Jesus taught us: You have to forgive to be forgiven."
