Celebrating Catholic schools

ROCHESTER -- June 26 was Catholic Schools Night at Frontier Field, and students, families and staff members from several diocesan schools turned out to celebrate Catholic education and root for the Rochester Red Wings. Students showed their school spirit with school shirts and colorful pennants, while volunteers took to the stadium’s concourse to offer fans information on area schools. The Red Wings’ mascot Spikes even donned a plaid uniform in honor of the dress code many Catholic schools observe.
