Stella Maris band plays with purpose

It's almost time for another season of summer camp at Livonia's Camp Stella Maris. Located on the shores of Conesus Lake, the camp is about more than fun in the sun -- lifelong friendships and formative social experiences keep campers coming back, and in many cases striving to become counselors-in-training or full-time counselors. No group loves Stella Maris more than the counselors who make up the camp band, Popular Peninsula. A few members recently spoke to the Courier about how they came together and what motivates them to perform.
