Camera shy

By Tamara Tirado/Staff photographer

I took this picture while covering a rededication Mass at St. Januarius Church in Naples. Five-year-old Daniel Nemitz was the cross bearer for the Mass and was a huge hit with Bishop Clark and the rest of the congregation. He wasn’t shy at all when the bishop called him out during the homily and joked with him at the end of the Mass, but for some reason he didn’t seem to like me taking his picture! During the recessional, he walked down the aisle hiding behind the cross, and as he passed me, I got this shot of him looking at me out of the corner of his eye.
