Each of the eight years I've worked for the Catholic Courier I've photographed Catholic Schools Week events. So each year I find myself thinking about new ways to cover some of the same kinds of activities, different ways to look at similar subjects. I've shot square dancing before but this year, when I covered Country Western Day at St. Lawrence School, I focused a little more on the costumes the kids wore and how they interacted with them. Most of the kids had cowboy hats that were two sizes too large and they were constantly having to adjust them.
