On Aug. 27 Sister Madeline Rockwell professed her perpetual vows as a Sister of Mercy during a Mass at the Mercy Center Chapel in Brighton. Pews were filled with family, friends and dozens of fellow sisters who came forward to greet Sister Rockwell personally after she signed her vows. Father Ray Fleming presided at the Mass, while Sister Anne Curtis, a member of the Institute Leadership Team for the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, and Sister Nancy Hoff, president of the Sisters of Mercy's New York, Pennsylvania, Pacific West Community, led the profession ceremony.
