Ithaca parish will host international festival

Ithaca's St. Catherine of Siena Parish is planning an International Festival for Peace Sept. 17-18.

Festival hours will be Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of St. Catherine Church, 302 St. Catherine's Circle. Highlights will include live music and performances; arts-and-craft vendors; international food; and activities and entertainment for children. Both days of the festival will begin with an outdoor Mass led by Father Joseph Marcoux, pastor of St. Catherine Parish.

This event is designed to coincide with weeklong peace celebrations taking place in the Ithaca area. It intends to welcome people from throughout the community while helping to raise funds toward peace-related efforts.
