Thursday, May 31, 2018 - June 2, 2018
A 40-hour devotion is a solemn exposition of the Blessed Sacrament that continues around the clock for forty hours. It will be held in St. Casimir Church beginning with Mass on Thursday, May 31 at 5:30 p.m. and concluding on Saturday morning, June 2 with Mass at 9:30 a.m. Forty Hour Devotion provides a wonderful opportunity for the spiritual growth of an individual person and the parish as well. In our world, temptation and evil abounds, devotion to the Mass and Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist have declined. Through hours spent in Eucharistic devotion one can adore Christ, pray in the presence of the Lord, express our sorrow for our sins, and experience oneness with Him that leads us to participation in the Mass which is central to Catholic Life. Parishioners, as well as visitors, are invited to pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Organizers are seeking people to fill time slots so the exposed Blessed Sacrament is never left unattended.
